30th March 2020 John 8:1-11 A line in the sand

Monday 30th March
Today we look at John 8:1-11 - Jesus draws a line in the sand.
Of course there is lots of debate about whether this should be in the Bible, or at this place. Don Carson in his commentary on John rehearses the arguments.
For myself, I think it should although perhaps not at this point since it breaks 7:52 & 8:12 which would appear to be linked. But it certainly continues John's themes and is consistent with his teaching.
